In an important step toward promoting ecotourism in Palestine, the new hiking trail in Wadi Al-Quff Reserve was opened last Saturday, attended by representatives from the Environment Quality Authority, Hanns Seidel Foundation, and the local community. The new trail extends 3.5 kilometers through the most beautiful natural areas of the reserve, offering visitors a unique experience in the heart of Palestinian nature.

The trail stands out for its unique natural diversity, passing through oak and pine forests with stunning views of Wadi Al-Quff. It also provides opportunities to observe many local plant and animal species, including some rare and endangered ones. The trail has been equipped with directional and informational signs in both Arabic and English to provide a rich educational experience for visitors.

The opening of this trail is part of a broader project to develop ecotourism infrastructure in Palestinian nature reserves, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Hanns Seidel Foundation. The project aims to transform nature reserves into sustainable tourism destinations that support the local economy and raise public awareness about the importance of preserving biodiversity.
